Troubleshoot Window Sync

Window Sync depends on running profiles, local browser connections, the controller event bridge, and consistent page state. Begin by reviewing profile statuses and session scope on the standalone Window Sync page.

Status Checks

Item	Description
Open profile count	If a profile is missing, confirm that it was launched from Quick Launch or Browser Profiles
Selection count	At least two available profiles are required. Review the actual selection after filtering by group
Profile status	Disabled displays the reason synchronization is unavailable; resolve it and reopen the page or refresh status
Current controller	Must remain selected and available; changing it during a session requires Restart Sync
Session status	Distinguish Not Started, Synchronizing, and Stopped so a stopped session is not mistaken for an event failure
Restart Sync	Recreates the session after connection errors, participant changes, or controller changes

Common Issues

Symptom	Check first	Resolution
Profile is missing or disabled	Whether it is running, was launched by RPA, or still has an active RPA Plus task	Launch it normally from Quick Launch or Browser Profiles. RPA-launched profiles cannot join; wait for an RPA Plus task to finish and its window to reconnect
Start Sync is unavailable	Selection count, profile statuses, and controller	Select at least two Available profiles and set one as the controller
A newly selected profile receives no actions	Whether a session is already running	A selection made during a session is not added immediately; click Restart Sync
Clicks, input, scrolling, or pointer movement are not synchronized	Corresponding event switch and session state	Enable the event in Sync Settings, save, and validate the session again
Only some windows do not respond	Whether a target was closed, disconnected, or frozen	Stop the session, relaunch the affected profile, then select and start the session again
Click position is offset	Window dimensions, page zoom, layout, and dialogs	Use Match Size, align page state, and perform a low-risk click test
Tabs close inconsistently	Tab mappings, manual-close switch, and last-tab risk	Run Align Tabs, confirm the switch, and follow the client's close-risk warning

Recovery Sequence

1. Click Stop Sync to stop distributing actions.
2. Align pages, tabs, window dimensions, and zoom levels across profiles.
3. Select the participants again and set a controller.
4. Review event switches and simulation speed.
5. Click Restart Sync and validate with a test action.

If the issue persists, record the time, controller profile row number, target count, session status, exact action, and UI message. Never record passwords, cookies, verification codes, or complete URL query strings.
